The Aurora Gate Forums, or TAG, was started on November 21st, 2007 by Lt. Ludicolo and Hiddenzbu. The forums were meant to be a place for all lovers of Pokemon, rather than the aggressive super elite battlers. The creation of TAG was also a reaction to a mishap at a previous forum both the creators once attended. The forum instantly flourished from the beginning and the member count and post count both grew at a rapid pace.
In late Feburary it was decided upon that TAG would extend to other Nintendo based games other than Pokemon such as Super Smash Brothers and Mario Kart. The Aurora Gate remained properous. During the last weeks of April TAG approached another friendly forum by the name of Pokemon Wifi Forums, run by a great admin named Cojirou. To further the greatness of both site's legacies it was decided the two sites would merge.
With Cojirou now part of the "Elite Four" Admins, she went to work building an amazing main site to couple with the outstanding forums. The Aurora Gate, its forums and its main site, continue to be a hub of activity, friendship, and creativity up to the present.
