Celebi, the time travel Pokemon, is known as one of the hardest Pokemon to obtain of all time. Why is a simple Grass/Psychic type Pokemon so hard to capture? Its impossible to obtain outside of Japan!

Celebi cannot be captured in Pokemon Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald, FireRed, LeafGreen, XD, Diamond, Pearl, or Platinum, even in Japan. The only way to even recieve this Pokemon in Japan is via the Pokemon Colosseum bonus disk. Once all 48 shadow pokemon were snagged and purified, a player could use the bonus disk to download a Celebi to their game catridge.

Confusion over Celebi's location has led to a crazy number of rumors about "tricks" to capture Celebi in other pokemon games. It can safely say that these tricks are just like all the old procedures to capture Marill (or Pikablu) in the original games.
