


The 4th Generation of the Pokemon franchise introduced Pokemon Diamond and Pokemon Pearl (as known as Pokemon D/P). Released in September 2006 in Japan and May 2007 in the United States, Pokemon Diamond Pearl introduce 107 new pokemon, boosting the immense number of capturable critters to an amazing 493 Pokemon.
Not all is well in the region of Sinnoh. A strange group of individuals, referring to themselves as Team Galatic search the world to discover the secrets of the ancient pokemon, Dialga and Palkia. It is up to you to stop there plans of conquering the Pokemon world.....
After you become Sinnoh League Champion of course. Which is no easy task for any pokemon trainer. Pokemon D/P boasts 8 different gyms, each with there own unique leader, unique type, and unique battling style. Only by defeating them in their own element can you hope to compete against the Sinnoh Elite 4, and then finally contend for the championship with the League Champ
Sinnoh itself, is a large and diverse region, ripe for exploring. Not only that, but the entire Underground is linked together by tunnels to expand the gamescape even further. Travel through dangerous mountains, trainer filled passages, rainy wetlands, and more!
Pokemon Diamond and Pearl also added several new features with the use of the Nintendo DS's many abilities including the use of a Poketch on the touch screen to perform a variety of actions. The Day/Night system, first introduced in the 2nd generation, makes a welcome return with some new additions.
More than anything though, Pokemon Diamond and Pearl helped connect a world of Pokemon fans through the use of Nintendo Wifi Connection. Now players from all around the world could chat, trade, and battle wirelessly no matter where they are. A dream finally materialized.
